We are still looking for godparents for some of our children. For approximately 50 euros a month a godchild can be fed, clothed and medically cared for.

Our new kindergarten has been inaugurated in September 2007. 6 educators are taking care of 40 children there. The construction of our new crèche has been finished in December 2007 (building costs appr. 60.000 euros).

Extra coaching for 30 Class One children (15 children each morning and each afternoon) takes place daily. The children receive a warm meal every day, have recorder lessons, art classes and flute courses and are also cared for medically.

In our six month apprenticeship about twenty young women and men are learning the basic skills needed to become electricians. Thus equipped the participiants find it easier to get a job. The apprenticeship courses take place once a year and will be continued.

The same goes for our daily computer course.

In the sewing room we continue to teach 37 girls sewing, machine embroidery and needleworks every day. The dolls workshop is also very popular. Our new project "A sewing machine at home" gives to the graduates of our sewing courses the possibility to earn a living by working at home. A sewing machine costs approximately 230 euros. For of them have already been donated to us - and more donations are welcome!

Our mothering house is regularily needed by expectant mothers.

Once a week dentists give free treatments in our practice.

There is great activity in the Lavanderia (laundry) every day.

The goat herds continue to grow and more and more families take benefit of our "Projeto Cabrinha". The costs of one goat are 40 euros, for a whole goat family (1 billy goat and 4 nanny goats) 200 euros.

The construction of our new Centro Social e Cultural (360 sq mtrs, costs of construction appr. 70.000 euros) has been finished in March 2007. Our new meeting point offers plenty of space for any kind of events, e. g. reunions, lectures or our very popular celebrations (Mother's Day, Christmas, International Children's Day). Some of our courses and lessons take place there, for example our musical education, as well as our new "folklore" dance group is doing their trainings there.
