Women of any age are given lessons here in sewing and embroidery by machine and by hand. They can later use these skills to earn a living for themselves. |

Every month we distribute basic foodstuffs (rice, beans, manioc) and clothes (collected in Europe) to underprivileged families from the interior. |

The main building of the Foundation serves as social centre. Here, amongst other events, further education for both youths and adults takes place, as well as sewing courses. It is spacious enough to be used for lectures, meetings, celebrations and similar events. This building also contains our kitchen, where the cookery courses happen and where our youngest children and those of the extra tuition programme are catered from. |

On our two pieces of land we have bored two wells for drinking water. In addition we are giving training in well building and water self sufficiency in the Interior. The plan for the moment is to buy a second hand well boring machine (± 15.000 euros). |

This year every morning and afternoon about fifteen children are getting additional help to support their schooling. They also are cared for medically and receive art therapy ( for example, painting courses, flute courses and recorder lessons) as well as getting a warm meal. |

Our beekeeping project provides equipment and instruction to families in the Interior, so that they can earn a living or look after themselves. Because of the currently prevailing extreme drought our project's 100 bee colonies have now been moved temporarily into the next state, Piaui. A part of the honey crop flows back to the Foundation and thus benefits the little ones in our care. |

Underprivileged families from the Barão de Grajaú area (within a 50 km radius of the town) each receive four nannygoats and a billy-goat. These both provide food for the familiy (milk, cheese, meat) and are a source of income. The project is self-perpetuating, as after three years each family must give five goats to us from the offspring of their original flock. |

On land given to us by the local authority, we have built a home for pregnant women. Many women come into town from the interior to give birth, but they are only allowed to stay in hospital for one day. The "Mothers' Home" is a place where they can stay before they give birth, and recuperate afterwards. |

These buildings house a complete dental practice (donated by a dentist from Floriano, Dr Jamison) and a doctor's room (for gynaecology, for example). Children, young people and adults all receive medical attention here. The dental practice is taking place once a week, with the doctors working for free. |

On the same site, two housing blocks have been built for employees. Two families were given a home here and have become part of the local community. |

We have set up a football school with two teams. As well people can take part in a range of other sporting activities. |

The opening of our newly built kindergarten in September 2007. This has provided employment for six people and looks after more than forty children. |
